We are looking to add a Warehouse Packing Supervisor to our soon to be completed, state of the art greenhouse in Fort Valley, Georgia.

Job Summary:

With safety, efficiency and customer service a priority, the Warehouse Packing Supervisor monitors and maintains the efficient flow of the overall warehouse packing operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the sorting, packing, labeling and shipping/receiving of all products in the warehouse
  • Ensures all product is packed with strict adherence to Food Safety policies and customer specifications
  • Responds to events or issues that threaten production, shipping/receiving, quality as well as the health and safety of the employees
  • Ensures that all workers adhere to GMP’s, SOP’s and policies & procedures
  • Holds employees accountable to maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Trains and communicates with warehouse employees as directed by the Labor Manager
  • Other core expectations as defined by the company

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2 – 4 year degree in Business, Management or related field preferred
  • Prior people-management experience
  • Prior warehouse and freight logistics experience
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP and the PrimusGFS program
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to train team members and interact with all levels of the organization
  • MS Office computer skills; familiarity with Priva software is an asset
  • Able to work in a team

Working Conditions:

  • On-call and overtime hours including regular Saturdays
  • Conditions typically found in a warehouse with varying temperatures
  • Exerting from 15 – 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 20 lbs. of force frequently and 10 lbs. of force constantly in order to lift and move product
  • Bending, stretching, twisting, crouching, grasping, reaching and lifting above shoulders
  • Standing, sitting and walking for prolonged periods of time may be required
