We use 90%
less water

We give each plant the exact amount of water it needs – no more, no less. With precise closed-loop drip irrigation, any water the roots don’t soak up is recycled back through the same process.

Up, Up and Away! We grow vertically to reduce the amount of land required to grow more veggies.

nutrition

We closely monitor the nutrients we feed our plants and measure their growth daily to produce healthier, more flavorful vegetables.

power

We use the all-natural pollination power of bumblebees in all our greenhouses.

climate control

We deliver heat directly to the base of each plant using an efficient radiant hot water system so we can provide fresh veggies to people across North America 365 days a year.

Smart CO2
Management

Plants breathe in CO2 and exhale oxygen. We run our high-efficiency boilers during the day when plants are most active so they can absorb CO2. The hot water is conserved in large tanks to maintain an optimal climate at night.

Ladybugs: Nature’s
Pest Control

Ladybugs are a natural bio control for managing pests that can attack vegetable plants. Our integrated pest management system greatly reduces the need for pesticides.

We are on the leading edge of technological innovation and product development. We’re constantly testing new tomato varieties for new and exciting flavors, all while working on new ways to grow healthier, tastier and more sustainable vegetable varieties.

Lighting

Even on cloudy days we can ensure consistent light levels thanks to efficient LED supplemental lighting. These lights help to make sure growth doesn’t stall based on the weather and each plant produces the quantity and quality it should.

Screens

To control the light entering the greenhouse and maintain optimal humidity levels, we use retractable energy screens.

Compostable
Growing Mediums

We grow our plants in recycled natural growing mediums like coconut husk. At the end of a growing season, these are composted, returning their valuable nutrients back to the earth.

Quality Control
& Testing

We inspect and measure plants daily to ensure optimal growth. Once picked, each vegetable is inspected visually to ensure the highest quality.
