My internship at Pure Flavor® has been a hands-on learning experience that has helped me grow both technically and professionally. I’ve worked on troubleshooting hardware and printers while improving my problem-solving skills. Along the way, I’ve also gained a solid understanding of Windows Server and IT infrastructure, giving me valuable insight into how systems work in a real-world setting.
Beyond the technical side, I’ve had the opportunity to interact with different teams, understand their IT challenges, and provide support, which has helped me develop strong communication and collaboration skills. I’ve also been introduced to virtualization and remote session management, expanding my knowledge of modern IT environments.
My education provided me with a strong foundation, and this internship has allowed me to put that knowledge into action. The support and mentorship from my colleagues have been invaluable, helping me navigate challenges and improve every day. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited to continue growing in the IT field.

From day one at Pure Flavor®, I was excited to work in the produce and food industry for the first time. The welcoming environment and supportive team made it easy to adapt and feel involved right away.
Throughout my internship, I gained hands-on experience in process optimization, excel data analysis, quality control, and supply chain management. Under the guidance of Nuralhuda Khizir, Buyer-Planner, I learned to manage procurement processes using ERP software and draft RFIs and RFQs. Her unwavering support was instrumental in my growth during this period. Working with Senior Packaging Engineer Akil Mandapati and Packaging Engineer Veronica Arai, I worked on shelf-life test, trials, fit tests of different packaging deepened my understanding of packaging specifications and material properties.
My mechanical engineering background helped me analyze packaging efficiency, quality control methods, and process improvements. I gained technical knowledge in reviewing engineering specifications for packaging, including die-lines, proofs. Moreover, I collaborated with cross-functional teams, aligning engineering specifications with vendor capabilities and sustainability goals. This experience strengthened my problem-solving, communication, and procurement skills, expanding my knowledge of food packaging operations.
I truly appreciate the Pure Flavor® team for their support and guidance. This internship has been a rewarding experience, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow in such a positive environment.
